Terms

The short version: it's a free guide, put together carefully but not perfect, so check before you rely on it. What you make here is yours. Be decent with what you publish.

Who and what

Two Nights In is run by Mathieu Muller, in the United Kingdom. These terms apply whenever you use the site, and you agree to them when you make an account. How your information is handled is on the privacy page.

A guide, not a guarantee

Places, opening hours, timetables, journey times, fares, weather, events and entry rules come from the sources listed on Data & sources, and they change. Some of it is worked out by software, and the travel assistant's answers are written by an AI model, which can be wrong. Check anything that matters — a train, a visa, an opening time — with the operator, the venue or the authority before you rely on it. Nothing here is legal, medical, financial or immigration advice.

Bookings

The site doesn't sell anything. Booking links take you to other companies — Booking.com, Airbnb, Trainline, flight and tour sites and others — and anything you book is between you and them, on their terms. Some of these links earn the site a commission, at no cost to you; that never decides what a guide or an itinerary recommends.

Your account

What you put on the site

Your trips, notes, photos, routes and answers stay yours. You let me store them and show them to the people you share them with, which the site needs to work. When you publish a route, you also let anyone read it, copy it into their own trips, and show it on their own site through the embed, with your name (or none, as you chose) and a link back; taking the route down stops new copies, but not ones already made.

Whatever you publish or share must not:

I read routes before they go up, and may leave out or take down anything that doesn't follow these terms.

Using the site fairly

Use it as a person planning travel would, or through the connector for AI apps. Don't copy it wholesale by script, get around its limits, or try to break into it or into other people's accounts. The data the site is built on is open, and its sources are linked from Data & sources if you want it in bulk; the site's own writing, such as the itineraries, is © Mathieu Muller.

Changes, and if it stops

The site is free and may change, and features may come and go. If it ever closes, account holders will be told by email at least 30 days before, with time to download their trips.

The small print

The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, I'm not responsible for losses that come from relying on it — a missed train, a closed restaurant, a booking that went wrong with a partner. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you can also bring proceedings where you live.

When these terms change, the date at the top does; a change that matters to account holders is emailed before it applies. Questions: get in touch.
